Through April 27, four artists will create large-scale calligraphic paintings on the windows at Brookfield Place's Winter Garden, 230 Vesey St., around the poetic theme of love. The artists from Iran, Japan, India and the United States will use words, letters, shapes and symbols from their respective languages and alphabets to explore the linguistic and artistic connections to calligraphy. The public can watch as the artists work.
There will also be workshops and dance and music performances.
