Kalam Melodies Calligraphy Exhibition Launched in UfaKalam Melodies Calligraphy Exhibition

Kalam Melodies calligraphy exhibition, featuring Dzhamil Akhmetgaliev’s artworks, has started at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Bashkortostan. The young artist created most of his work in a rather unusual technique, namely, paper casting.

This is his second exhibition, organized at the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It is noteworthy that Mr. Akmetgaliev’s exhibitions had taken place in various institutions across the town.

Calligraphy is often defined as the art of beautiful handwriting. The underlying principles of a calligraphic inscription are strict geometric patterns and proportions, having an immediate impact on the accuracy and the beauty of the line. Arab calligraphy is deeply revered in the Islamic community, being the vehicle of preserving and spreading the divine message, encoded in Quran. Today calligraphy is also widely applied in coin and paper money design, on posters, billboards, books' title pages, newspaper and magazine headlines.
