Dear Friends, we have the pleasure to inform you that on 13th of October Michael Sull, the eminent teacher, unequalled expert of Spencerian handwriting, and member of IAMPETH union of calligraphers will teach an exclusive intensive course. He was Ronald Reagan's calligrapher after his Presidency.
The 2-day intensive course will be at the Contemporary Museum of calligraphy. The attendees will be offered the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the past, learning the fine and harmonious Spencerian handwriting style under the tactful guidance of Mr. Sull.
The expert will show the writing of Spencerian upper and lower case letters, he will speak about the flourishing technique (Off-Hand Flourishing) and share information about the specifics of working with the tools and materials of this style: inclined support, pointed pen and ink. As a bonus for the participants, Michael Sull will show rare examples of classic Spencerian writing created more than 100 years ago by famous American calligraphers - and those works can be studied and photographed!

Michael Sull, expert, member IAMPETH union of calligraphers, master of calligraphy, teacher, author of Spencerian and Ornamental manuals, director of educational programs of Ink Academy. At present, he works with the Zaner-Bloser educational organization.
Spencerian is an American calligraphic style created by Platt Rogers Spencer. The script reached its zenith during the Golden Age of American calligraphy lasting from the second half of 19 century to the beginning of 20 century. Nowadays this style is experiencing a new wave of popularity.
