Holiday Workshop Class at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

Last Saturday, Artyom Lebedev, calligrapher and typographer held a workshop class on decorating Christmas and New Year cards at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.

Following Artyom’s catchy example, class students started to produce really beautiful and yet easy writings just in a few minutes. And the atmosphere of this workshop class was really festive: people were smiling happily and relaxing after tedious, routine weekdays.

Besides mere inscriptions, the calligrapher has shown how to fashion quite simple but important elements of any Christmas card — holiday trees, snowflakes, and lanterns that give Artyom, as he said himself, the feeling of magic and fairy tale all around.

Thanks to all who came to this workshop class — we really hope you loved it and one of the things you are going to wish on a New Year’s night will be visiting the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy again in 2012!
