Director of the Association of Private Museums of Russia, and the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, Alexey Shaburov attended the ceremony of the Bolshoi Theatre and historical and cultural complex “Vyatskoe” signing a cooperation memorandum. The document, signed by General Director of the Bolshoi Theatre Vladimir Urin and founder of “Vyatskoe” Oleg Zharov, was executed in Beethoven Hall of the theatre in front of invited renowned politicians and the people of art and culture, local residents and friends of the famous village, such as opera singer, professor, president of the 3rd international musical contest “Vyatskoe” Lyubov Kazarnovskaya, poetess Larisa Rubalskaya, and many more.
According to Zharov, cooperation with the leading national theatre lays a foundation for numerous museum, educational, contest, performance, and pedagogical projects, including evening events and performances by leading artists and the youth troupe of the Bolshoi Theatre as part of Lyubov Kazarnovskaya’s “Province is the Soul of Russia” festival, exhibit exchanges, talks by leading experts of Bolshoi’s research department and museum, workshops, and academic forums.
The museum complex is a great example of restoring Russian villages and the preservation of cultural heritage. Just several years ago Vyatskoe stood on the brink of extinction. Today, it’s a tourism centre operating 13 diverse museums that reflect the unique specifics of Yaroslavl region, the identity and abundance of local culture. “Vyatskoe” hosts celebrations, festivals, exhibitions, annual fitness, bodybuilding, and power lifting competitions.
In his speech Shaburov thanked Oleg Zharov for his support to the “Private Museums of Russia. Talents of Russia” project, and noted that “Vyatskoe” became its anchor, which caused all the other museums from all across Russia, from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad, join the project too. Eventually the exhibition, which took place last September, featured over 100 museums in Sokolniki and enjoyed the attendance of 30 000 over the course of two days.
Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears, but for the eyes.
