The final series of workshops within the International Exhibition of Calligraphy is to take place on December 9. One of the guests of the Contemporary museum of calligraphy will be Dmitry Petrovsky, a prominent St. Petersburg master, teacher of font and calligraphy at the Philological Department of the Arts Institute under the St. Petersburg State University. The visitors will be shown a presentation of the master’s project "A course in historic broad nib pen calligraphy". The workshop is to take place from 12.30 noon to 2.00 p.m.
Dmitry Petrovsky is a member of the Union of Artists of Saint Petersburg, the Union of Designers of Russia and a standing participant in the International Exhibition of Calligraphy. In his life he took part in more than 50 group and individual exhibitions, starting from 1975. From 1994 he has been engaged in graphic design and professional photography.
We’d like to remind you that this Sunday there will be two more master classes. At 11.00 a.m. Andrei Sannikov will have a workshop on the calligraphy of the Ostromir Gospels, and at 3.00 p.m. Yuri Koverdyayev will tell about sharp-pointed nib pen calligraphy. Everyone is welcome at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy!
