Yuri Zinchuk, Chairman of the Committee for Press and Mass Media Relations under the St. Petersburg City Government delivered a welcoming address to the International Exhibition of Calligraphy:
“There can be no doubt that this project deserves utmost attention as many local residents hope to find it original, educational, and fascinating, and as the exhibition is also a means to revive the long-forgotten art of Russian calligraphy. Moreover, presentation of the first handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, jointly prepared by the National Union of Calligraphers and the Rare book from St. Petersburg publishing house is destined to become a hallmark in the Russian book industry, and in the history of Russian statehood.
Our committee is willing to hold out a helping hand by informing St. Petersburg’s leading mass media editorial offices about the International Exhibition of Calligraphy”.
Calligraphy — the written beauty of feelings.
