The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy in Moscow hosted the presentation of the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition. Its opening is scheduled for September 2019.
The exposition, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the diplomatic relationships between Russia and China, will feature some 300 works from 39 Chinese provinces representing all types of calligraphy, as well as the tools of the art – samples of ink, paper and brushes. The presentation was attended by the leading artists, among them Zhang Huaqing, Chairman of the Sharp-pointed Nib All-China Calligraphy Association. Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Russia, Li Hui, emphasized the special significance of this cultural event.
“At present, China and Russia are enjoying the best period in their relationship. And the deepening of our cultural cooperation plays a unique and very important part in this process,” said Li Hui.
