Governor of the Novgorod Region to head the Organizers’ Committee of the III International Exhibition of Calligraphy

On December 28, 2009 Alexey Shaburov, General Manager of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, held a meeting with Sergei Mitin, Governor of the Novgorod Region. The governor endorsed the idea of the project to be organized in Veliky Novgorod and expressed readiness to head the Organizers’ Committee. Mr. Mitin was quoted saying that the International Exhibition of Calligraphy which would take place at Yaroslav’s Court, was to become the event of the year for the city. The exhibition will be held on September 10-12, 2010. The basic exposition is to be displayed in the specially erected unique mobile pavilion with an exhibition area covering 1 200 square metres. The event programme promises to be highly topical including live performances of renowned calligraphers, a trade fair and a plethora of pleasant surprises for the residents and guests of Veliky Novgorod.
