On July 25th a solemn ceremony of tree planting by Li Hui, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Commander of the Order of Friendship was held at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre. The event was held in a special gratitude to Mr Li Hui for the great contribution in development of bilateral relationship and strengthening of cultural links between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China, and also dedicated to the 70th anniversary of establishing of the diplomatic relationship between the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China.
Mr Li Hui, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation, Lubov Dukhanina, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Education and Science and Alexey Shaburov, President of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy took part in the ceremony.
Guests in their speeches emphasized the importance of Russian-Chinese relations development and the traditional friendship between our countries. This will also be facilitated by the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition, which will be held on20-22 of September at the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, within which the works of masters from all the provinces of China and the Russian painters and calligraphers, involved in this art form, will be presented.
