The expedition visited Manufacturer Dumnov's Museum Estate located in Zarechye village in Vladimir region, which is mere 60 kilometres away from the Moscow Automobile Ring Road (aka MKAD). This is the only Russian museum focused on the history of silk velvet loom.
The museum was originated by renowned Moscow doll artist Galina Maslennikova, granddaughter and a direct successor of the Dumnovs' house.
The team dived into the world of the 19th century Russian estate and discovered a fascinating craft, as well as a collection of antique fabrics and apparel.
The Estate also features an entire doll country, including the artworks by Russkie Kukly (The Russian Dolls), well known both in Russia and internationally.
Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears, but for the eyes.
