Exhibition of Buryat-Mongol art in the Orda ethno gallery

The exhibition presenting the versatile art of Buryat painters, sculptors and graphic artists will be running from October 13th to November 4th.

Abstract paintings of Shura Dugarova, acrylic paintings of Zhargal Zomonov, brass sculptures of Bair Sundupov, Bayashalan Bazarov, Buyanto Oshorov, Tuyana Gumpylova and works of many other artists comprise the exposition.

The exhibition also features the Tengeriin Besheg calligraphy project realized in cooperation with the Bitchig Soyol association of Mongolian calligraphers. The project’s aim is to revive the centuries-old Buryat-Mongol tradition of vertical ornamental script used in calligraphy as a high art form. Such artists as Ganbator Dagva, Odbayar, Bayarmangay Purevsuren, Anhabayar Erdenebat took part in the project.
