On September 15, 2019, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Shaburov visited the renowned Jintai Art Museum in Beijing as a part of his business trip across China, and met with its founder and director, Mr. Yuan Xikong. One more renowned Chinese politician, Mr. Li Hui, also met with Shaburov. At the meeting, Mr. Yuan Xikong gave the Russian guest and his colleagues a personal tour of the museum, while Shaburov on his side gave an overview of the recent “Private Museums of Russia. Talents of Russia” exhibition, demonstrated the catalogue of private museums translated into Chinese, and shared some plans of preparing and opening the largest exhibition of Chinese art, “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” – the event is scheduled for this week, September 20-22, 2019, in Sokolniki Park. Informally Mr. Yuan Xikong, Mr. Li Hui and Mr. Shaburov discussed cooperation and highly appraised Shaburov team’s projects, expressing confidence in further strengthening of cultural and humanitarian connections between Russia and China through successful collaboration that develops between the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and Chinese partners.
Calligraphy is a kind of music not for the ears, but for the eyes.
