Director of Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Shaburov met with Ambassador of China to Russia Li Hui

Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy Alexey Shaburov was received by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation Li Hui under a special invitation.

The meeting took place on July 18, 2019, in the Chinese embassy in Moscow.

During the meeting Shaburov spoke about the preparations ahead of the large-scale “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition, which is due on September 20-22, 2019, in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre, and also shared his impressions of a trip to the People's Republic of China where he visited a xuanzhi paper factory, and a guqin making facility. Mr. Li Hui highlighted the importance of the exhibition to develop cultural and humanitarian ties between our countries. He also noted that the embassy of the People's Republic of China was ready to provide all sorts of assistance to the event organizers, and wished success to Alexey Shaburov and the project team.
