On November 8, 2019, a delegation of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy and Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre visited the office of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to take part in the awarding ceremony of the 4th national contest of Chinese calligraphy “Guozhen Cup.”
The ceremony also featured the Deputy Director of Chinese Bureau for Foreign Languages Liu Dawei, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to China Parviz Davlatzoda, the former Deputy General Secretary of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Vladimir Zakharov, and other officials from the embassies of Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, and Azerbaijan to China, top officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, representatives of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, and renowned calligraphers who hold membership in the Chinese Association of Calligraphy.
Alexander Zhuravlev, Russia, won the first prize in the contest organized by the National Association of Fine Arts, the Chinese Bureau for Foreign Languages in partnership with Chinese media Internet centre (China.com), the administrative office of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and New Era Health Industry (Group) Co., Ltd.
