Charity Soirees Involving the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

On January 9 and 15, the Museum’s calligraphers took part in charity soirees dedicated to Pushkin, to mark New Year and Christmas.

On January 9, Yury Koverdyaev, participant of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, attended a charity ball hosted by Bogoyavlensky deanery at the St. George the Victorious Cathedral, Lubyanka. The whole evening Yuri Koverdyayev gave the ball’s guests – parishioners and soldiers of the Presidential Regiment – handwritten cards and quatrains of A. Pushkin’s works. On January 15, Koverdyayev along with Artyom Lebedev held a fun workshop for children within the event arranged by The Light of the Mount Tabor charitable foundation.

We would like to thank all those arranging such charity events! It’s so nice to give children and adults festivals and introduce them to the art of beautiful writing!
