Calligraphy, Water, And Chance, the official opening of the first one-man exhibition by Vitaly Shapovalov

The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy invites everyone to attend Calligraphy, Water, And Chance, the first one-man exhibition by the famous calligraphy master Vitaly Shapovalov, which is to be held from September 12th to October 12th, 2014.

Vitaly Shapovalov is a member of the National Union of Calligraphers, a permanent participant of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy, artist-watercolorist, and widely-known calligraphy master.

At his one-man exhibition, Vitaly Shapovalov presents to the audience over one hundred original calligraphy works. Among the works are a large art series (33 Alphabet Calligraphic Initials, Creation Of The World, a series of works made in collaboration with Japanese calligrapher Yoshiko Yoshida and more), original, exclusive paintings executed in unique and inimitable technique.

Vitaly Shapovalov’s exhibition will transfer you into the amazing world of European and Russian calligraphy, where you can properly estimate the broad band of calligraphy styles the author is mastering with the watercolour technique and admire the out-of-the-world imagination the artist has.

As part of the exhibition the Museum plan on delivering two master-classes in Russian and European calligraphy by the well-known experts: graphologist Larisa Drygval and calligrapher Nina Kozubova.
