Calligraphy contest launched in Timiryazev Academy

The first qualification stage organized by the Russian Language and Elocution Department and Educational Work Administration of the Academy took place on December 5.

The event involved representatives of all 14 faculties of the Academy. Stage one offered to rewrite the text about the abundance of the Russian speech. Summing up will take place on December 20.

The calligraphy contest is coincided with another session of the Russian Governmental Council for Russian Language.

Objective of the event is to draw attention to the Russian writing as an integral part of the Russian culture, and to writing in Russian, as well as to educate taste with students who strive to have or already possess the fine handwriting skills.
