A contest dubbed The Calligrapher for 3rd and 4th grade students will be held in the regional educational centre on April 1.
This is the second year in a row as the regional Ministry of Education and Scholarship and Kalarash Teachers' College hold this contest.
Contestants are about to perform two tasks: rewrite a text following calligraphy rules and produce a mini composition.
To date about 40 applications have been submitted from 5 regional areas.
According to Elizaveta Poddubnykh, specialist from the regional Ministry of Education and Scholarship, the best calligraphers among students will be selected based on the adapted educational programmes and for non-native Russian speakers.
Also three top works will be selected in each category in The Best Calligrapher and The Best Creative Work nominations.
Winners and awardees will receive the ministerial diplomas, while participant certificates will be granted to the rest.
Along with the contest, a regional seminar dubbed Teaching Russian in Elementary School through the Adapted Core Educational Programmes will be held for teachers – elementary school teachers from Khabarovsk region, elementary education professionals and the Calligrapher participants’ parents will take part.
The contest will be held on April 1 in the regional educational centre (Pavel Morozov street 92b) at 10:30.
