At the opening of the renovated Monument to the Soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in Orekhovo village, Ryazan region, the participants received a welcoming letter from Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky. In the letter, he emphasized the importance of keeping alive the historical memory of those who fought in the Great Patriotic War and pride in the military and labor merits of our ancestors. Vladimir Medinsky called the reconstruction of the monument a worthy contribution made by residents of Orekhovo to the preservation of the memory of those who had liberated our country from the German invaders. The Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation thanked everyone who had put their efforts into this noble cause.
