An exhibition named “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting,” held on September 20-22, 2019, and designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Russia and China, featured artworks created by a renowned Chinese calligrapher Zhao Xueli. Mr. Zhao Xueli, Director of the Academy of Calligraphy and Painting at the Chinese Political Consultative Conference, Heilongjiang province, is a long-standing partner of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, and exhibitor of the said event. Showcased artworks included an extract from “Lao-tse’s Dao De Jing”, Wang Wei’s “Leaving to King Qi’s Palace of Jiucheng for Summer,” “Offering Wine,” “Confided to Something Else,” and many other magnificent masterpieces.
On September 22, 2019, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Russia, Mr. Zhang Hanhui visited the exhibition and met with Zhao Xueli to see his artworks in person, which notably occurred at our exhibition in Moscow!
