Arabic calligraphy exhibition is held in Egypt

An unusual exhibition of Arabic calligraphy opened these days in Egypt. The exposition consists of 99 canvases with calligraphic inscriptions of the words of Allah and hadiths of the prophet Muhammad, created by a renowned calligrapher and painter Salekh Baslya. The paintings are exhibited in the Cairo Opera House. The event is to work until December 31, 2012.

Dr. Mohammed Saber Arab, Egyptian Minister of Culture, was greatly impressed by the exhibition and said that such mastery cannot leave one indifferent. "The technique of writing Quranic verses tells us that we see the work of a great master", said the minister. It should be mentioned that the author held 22 unique projects in Arabic calligraphy in Egypt as well as other countries of the Islamic world.
