An exhibition of Arabic calligraphy opened in Saransk

The Letters of Light exhibition of Arabic calligraphy opened on June 2nd, 2015 at the Stepan Erzia Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts in Saransk. The main goal of the exhibition is to preserve the basics of Islamic culture and to arouse interest for it among the youth.

The exhibition showcases the works of the Alexandrian Academy of Arabic calligraphy graduate Said Ibrahim Mohammad Abdel Kader. A lot of countries such as Greece, the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Germany and Turkey have already seen and praised his works. A lot of his works have already taken their place in private collections and royal palaces.

Currently, the Russian general public knows very little about Egyptian calligraphy, and the exhibition is an opportunity to broaden their horizons.
