The opening of the Museum of the Russian national writing was a reason to meet at the school in January of this year where handwritten works of Yuri Ivanovich Arutsev and his students are presented as well as books and writing materials of different years.

Yuri Arutsev is a doctor-expert of the highest category, graphic artist, monogram calligrapher, writer and public figure. The recognized master of calligraphy himself gave a tour of the Museum. He also spoke about the author's methods and developments of the school to teach penmanship and calligraphy and presented the course «Video Tutorials of The Russian national writing». This work has been in progress since September 2018 and completed not so long ago. The course consists of 58 lessons and they last in average for 5 to 10 minutes. It includes films: "The physiology of writing", "the Desired error", "Monkey brush", "Sandbox" and others. The uniqueness of the course is that the basics of penmanship are presented in it from the point of view of the physiology of children.

Alexey Shaburov in his turn also actively shared his experience with colleagues at the meeting answering numerous questions related to the work of the World Calligraphy Museum as well as issues relating to holding of exhibitions and publishing specialized literature. Special attention was paid to the topic of calligraphy influence to speed and efficiency of human thought processes and as a result the need to return penmanship to schools.

Leaving the Museum Alexey Shaburov wrote in the book of reviews of the new Museum: "Dear Yuri Ivanovich I want to wish you all the best. I am immensely grateful to You for your contribution to the preservation of calligraphy in our country. Your brilliant students support Your endeavors. As to me I am Your disciple who admires what You do and how You do it. I wish You, Your school and the Museum all the best. Sincerely yours, Alexey Shaburov, Director of the World Calligraphy Museum".
