A delegation from the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy took part in the annual congress of the Sharp-Pointed Nib Association on April 20, 2019, subject to the special invitation sent to Alexey Shaburov by the Association Manager Zhang Huaqing. Overall, the congress featured more than 800 calligraphers from all across China, South Korea and Japan. The Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy made a speech to give an overview of the forthcoming project designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationships between Russia and China – The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting. Shaburov’s speech was greeted with applause, and proved the most exciting and insightful. The congress wrapped up with a photo session involving the delegates and the management of the Sharp-Pointed Nib Association.
