On December 5, 2019, Alexey Shaburov was invited to Beijing to take part in the 12th plenary session of the Russian-Chinese Committee of Friendship, Peace, and Development, and report on the cultural projects held in Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Centre and organized by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. The Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China Zhang Xu reported the cultural projects from Chinese side.
The Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of the People's Political Consultative Conference Xia Baolong, and presidential business ombudsman Boris Titov acted as co-chairmen from Chinese and Russian sides respectively.
The plenary session also saw the representatives of the Committee's councils – labour organizations of the Russian-Chinese Committee, including interregional, women's, cultural, media, business, science and innovations, medicine, and other councils. Representatives of social, political and business circles, regional leaders, cultural activists, diplomats and reporters lead the councis from each side.
Alexey Shaburov made his above-mentioned report about the cultural projects based in Sokolniki or organized by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy. The list included “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibition, “The Great Russian and Chinese calligraphy” exhibition in the State Duma, Russian-Chinese motocross “The Road of Friendship” aimed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between China and Russia, “Private Museums of Russia. Talents of Russia” exhibition, and the exhibition of Chinese tea “One Belt – One Road.” Besides, Shaburov shared some details about an exhibition due in 2021 – “Traditional Chinese Medicine.” The Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China Zhang Xu reported the cultural projects from Chinese side.
