Alexey Shaburov met with Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of China, Zhang Xu

On November 14, 2019, Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, and head of the Association of Private Museums of Russia Alexey Shaburov took part in the 8th international cultural forum in Saint Petersburg. On day one he met with the Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Zhang Xu, to share the details of the projects that have been implemented this year – the “Private Museums of Russia” and the “Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting” exhibitions; the latter was designed to celebrate a landmark date of the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Russia and China. Alexey Shaburov presented to the Vice Minister a small gift – the “Private Museums of Russia” catalogue translated into Chinese.

Mr. Zhang Xu was keen to know about the activities of the Association of Private Museums, managed by Shaburov, and expressed his interest to cooperate. He also noted that similar projects contribute to the strengthening and development of tourism and cultural cooperation between our countries.
