Alexey Shaburov, Director of Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, met with Mrs. Jing Ying in Shanghai

On April 4, 2019, Alexey Shaburov, the organizer of the Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting exhibition, met with Mrs. Jing Ying, Vice-Council of the Shanghai Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, in Shanghai. The Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Shanghai and Deputy Consul General Ernst Yurkin personally, as well as the representatives of the Shanghai Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, assisted the meeting. The parties negotiated the cooperation terms and agreed to put the artworks by top Shanghai calligraphers on display at The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting as a special exhibit named “Quotes by the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping”. Mrs. Jing Ying and her colleagues ensured to provide full assistance to the project and enable the best representatives of the Shanghai calligraphy world to take part in the event. The parties also agreed upon participation in a special exhibition named The Great Russian and Chinese Calligraphy, scheduled between May 28 and 31, 2019, in the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
