Ahmed Alan Shahnavaz, a thirty-one-year-old calligrapher from Delhi became the seventy-ninth participant of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy.
A graduate of the Indira Gandhi National Open University, Ahmed Shahnavaz has always enjoyed to communicate his thoughts to a blank sheet of paper. At the age of fourteen, he came to know Ms. Amina Ahmed Ahuja, an illustrious artist well-known outside India. Her shows were organized in Moscow, Tokyo, and New York. The artist’s works are a surprising combination of art and poetry by renowned Persian writers.
Ahmed Alan Shahnavaz was profoundly inspired by her art. From that day on, he has been using his skills to create his own calligraphy, which was destined to be unique. He usually uses self-made ink and a bamboo stick.
When there are no words left, the meaning is still preserved.
