A theoretical and practical conference marking the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation

On June 24th, Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation issued a decree to organize a theoretical and practical conference marking the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

The conference will take place on December 12-13, 2008.

The Constitution of the Russian Federation was adopted fifteen years ago, on December 12th, 1993 by the nationwide voting.

DECREE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

On organization of a theoretical and practical conference marking the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

1. To organize a theoretical and practical conference marking the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

2. Chief of the Presidential Administration is to appoint members of the event’s Organizing Committee and engage representatives of the federal state agencies, state agencies of the regions of the Russian Federation, non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions.

3. Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation is to render administrative and material support to facilitate the organization of the theoretical and practical conference marking the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation as well as to provide any necessary assistance to the Organizing Committee indicated in Clause 2 of the Decree.

4. The Government of the Russian Federation is to finance the expenses on preparation and organization of the theoretical and practical conference marking the 15th Anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Russian Federation.

5. The Decree comes into effect on the day of its signature.
