A Japanese calligraphy exhibition opens in Perm

The ‘Forest Where Tengu Lives’ project is open for visitors in Perm’s art residence.

The exhibition of Japanese paintings and calligraphy opens on August 12th at 6:30 pm at 95a, Monastyrskaya street. The opening ceremony will feature traditional Balinese dances, the ritual dances of Thailand and a performance of Kyokushin karate by graduates of school 32. There will also be a special feature: a live performance of singing in Japanese.

The exhibition will present works of Permian artists, Sergey Bolchovitin and Alexander Morozov, who use traditional techniques of Japanese calligraphy: Sumi-e and Shodo. Part of the exposition is devoted to the works of the pupils of school 32.
