A famous Ayurveda doctor at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy

Today we were visited by a famous Ayurveda practitioner doctor Naushad.

In 1996 doctor Naushad arrived in Russia on recommendation of the Ministry of Health of India to cure the Chernobyl accident liquidators. He was the first to apply the classical ayurveda method of deep detoxication (Panchakarma)… and he was a great success! He worked in NAAMI-AYUR, the first Russian Ayurvedic clinic where he conducted research with his Russian colleagues. He also gave lectures to Russian doctors in the clinic of the RF Ministry for Foreign Affairs. In Russia he graduated from the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and clinical residency at the Bakulev Cardiovascular Surgery Research Centre.

Doctor Naushad was excited by the museum exposition and the art of calligraphy in itself. As it turned out calligraphy and Ayurveda have much in common, especially as far as their medical aspects are concerned. Scientists proved calligraphy can cure many diseases, as Ayurveda does it.

During the meeting doctor Naushad promised to present our museum the rare tables on palm leaves containing ancient Ayurveda knowledge. We are waiting for new exhibits!
