An exhibition named “The Great Chinese Calligraphy and Painting: One Belt, One Road” was held in Moscow today, on September 20. The event was organized by the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy of Russia, the Association of Calligraphers of Russia, and Sokolniki Museum and Educational Centre. According to Director of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, Alexey Shaburov, this exhibition is one of the events designed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Russia and China. Overall the exhibit included 450 Chinese paintings and calligraphy artworks from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, many of which appeared in Russia for the first time.
