From November 1st – December 15th, 2012 Moscow will see the 4th International Exhibition of Calligraphy, a unique biennial event, at the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.
The visitors will be intrigued to attend master-classes from the world’s top calligraphers (including special workshops for children), astounding musical performances, and lots of other mind-blowing stuff.
For the first time ever in the history of the project, the guests will stand a unique chance to go on a virtual trip to the four corners of the Earth. Considering numerous requests, the organizers decided to completely recharge the exposition several times within the month and a half of the event, gradually moving the awe-stricken calligraphy lovers from Europe to Asia, from West to East.
The International Exhibition of Calligraphy is the world’s largest project dedicated to the culture of beautiful handwriting as an exquisite art. Since 2009, the project has been conducted under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO and the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) marked the high level of the event’s organization. The Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, the general organizer of the exhibition, is an ICOM Russia, AMM, and EMF institutional member. In 2010, the International Exhibition of Calligraphy project made it to the world’s top three exhibitions according to Exhibition News Awards.
