The world’s largest calligraphy exhibition has invaded five thousand square metres in Sokolniki.
The exhibition will feature works by world renowned calligraphers from over thirty countries, such as: Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Israel, USA, Japan, China, France, Italy, Germany, Australia, Brazil, etc.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy will premiere a World Famous Mezuzah, the only chef d’oeuvre of the sacred Judaic texts listed in the Guinness World Records. The mezuzah was written on parchment by Avraham Borshevsky, a famous Jerusalem calligrapher. Moreover, the guests will be lucky to contemplate a draft illustrated handwritten copy of the National Anthem of the Russian Federation (a present to Dmitry Medvedev from Silvio Berlusconi), the Decalogue, the single handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Sacred Mantra, Calligraphy on a Wing of a Fly, etc.
Special attention will be paid to themed zones portraying the culture of writing of various nations, states, and religions.
A vast business programme (master-classes and the Holy Scripture in Calligraphy Contest) will be available for all those whose passion is calligraphy.
