Moscow will see a handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation

The International Exhibition of Calligraphy will demonstrate the first handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Holy Mantra from Germany, Calligraphy on a Wing of a Fly from Thailand, and other works by the masters of the art of beautiful handwriting from over thirty countries from October 15th – November 14th at Sokolniki Park pavilions.

As the exhibition unfolds in the exhibit halls 7, 7a, 17, visitors will see works by world-renowned masters of calligraphy from Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Italy, France, Germany, USA, Japan, China, Iran, Brazil, Belarus etc., the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy press service announced to RIA Novosti, Russian News and Information Agency.

A World Famous Mezuzah, the only chef d’oeuvre of sacred Hebrew calligraphy executed on parchment by Avraham Borshevsky, a famous calligrapher of Jerusalem; the draft of the illustrated handwritten copy of the National Anthem of the Russian Federation (a gift to the President of RF Dmitry Medvedev from the Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi), Calligraphic carpets from Tunisia and many other works are presented at the exhibition.

The opening ceremony will welcome the most illustrious calligraphers of the time. Among them are Barbara Calzolari, Pope Benedict XVI’s calligrapher, worked for Dmitry Medvedev, Barak Obama and other politicians; Massimo Polello, President of Turin calligraphers' guild; Yuri Koverdyaev, author of financial documents; and Nja Mahdaoui, UNESCO calligrapher, artist of the Arab sheikhs and others.
