The working hours of minibus taxis will be extended during September 11–12 during the 3rd International Exhibition of Calligraphy in Veliky Novgorod, the city administration’s press center informed an IA REGNUM Novosti news agency correspondent on September 9th.
In particular, an additional minibus taxi line will be arranged until 3 am from Yaroslav's Court (the main venue for the event) to Nekhinskoye highway with the remote districts of Volkhov and Pankovka as a final destination.
According to the Committee for Culture, Tourism and Archives of the Novgorod Region, the 3rd International Exhibition of Calligraphy will be launched on September 10th at 03:00 pm onstage in front of the main exhibition pavilion at Yaroslav's Court. The exhibition will display calligraphic paintings, writing utensils and materials, exhibits listed in the Guinness World Records. A Golden Koran, a World Famous Mezuzah and the first handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation are among the displayed masterpieces within the framework of the Sacred Calligraphy Collection. On September 11th, the Museum Night and the World Cuisines festivals will be held as well as a wakeboarding tournament and a wake-surfing show.
The International Exhibition of Calligraphy is the biggest project dedicated to writing as an exquisite art and culture. It has been conducted under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO since 2009. The International Exhibition of Calligraphy in Russia was held in St. Petersburg in 2008 and in Moscow in 2009.
