Calligraphy artist and typographic designer
Biography
Education: The University of IT, Mechanics and Optics, specializing in optical electronics.
Viktor started to learn design and got engaged with letters. He discovered calligraphy as he enrolled to Sergey Rasskazov’s school.
Fitsner treats rhythm and composition in pre-Peter and contemporary Cyrillic seriously. He utilizes all sorts of tools, as he believes that the actual tool is calligraphy.
Viktor cooperates with Stanislavsky Theatre, Paratype, and also manages his own projects.
In his works he focuses on expression, character and composition, and most importantly, on the message.
Fitsner holds workshops in Moscow, does talks and produces art objects. He is an author of a copybook and a book about calligraphy.
