Embroidery

Embroidery is the art or handicraft of decorating fabric or other materials (leather, felt) with designs stitched in strands of linen, silk, cotton, woolen thread or yarn using a needle. Embroidery may also use other materials such as metal strips, pearls, beads, quills, sequins, jewels, coins, and paillettes. Sewing machines can be used to create machine embroidery. In our country embroidery is one of the most popular kinds of art and handicraft. At a first glance it may seem that embroidery is not connected with calligraphy.
