Tuesday, September 5th, Oksana Lysenko will read a lecture dubbed: Selecting an artwork frame. From the 16th century tricks of trade to contemporary frames. Has it ever occurred to you that frame matters so much to appreciate a painting? Art historian and leading painting frames expert from the State Russian Museum (Русский музей/The State Russian Museum) will uncover the secrets from over the years, from classical exemplary framing styles of the 16th-19th centuries to contemporary works, and train to select a frame for a painting or a calligraphy artwork.
