The Karpeles Library is the world's largest private holding of important original manuscripts and documents. The archives include Literature, Science, Religion, History and Art. Among the treasures are: The original draft of the Bill of Rights of the United States, The original manuscript of The Wedding March, Einstein's description of his Theory of Relativity, The Thanksgiving Proclamation signed by George Washington, Roget's Thesaurus, Webster's Dictionary and over one million more.
The Library provides special educational programmes and lectures for schools at all levels. The most popular of these are the Cultural Literacy Programme and the School Outreach Programme. In addition, Mini-Museums are maintained in many universities, secondary schools and grade schools throughout the country. These are free programmes and any grade school, secondary school, college or university may participate.

Each of the museums, except Montecito, presents a daily general exhibit throughout the year. In addition, each of the museums provides one or more special scheduled exhibits.
