We are happy that the very goal of the project, to revive the long-forgotten art of calligraphy in Russia, to make it affordable, and to set up an environment for its development gets more and more positive feedback and kindles the interest of top officials. On September 2, Andrei Loginov, Plenipotentiary Delegate of the RF government in the Russian State Duma of the RF Federal Assembly, visited the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy.
Andrei Lapshin, Director General of Sokolniki MEC and Valery Pilchin, technical director of International Exhibition of Calligraphy project held an excursion for the distinguished guest.
Andrei Loginov was deeply impressed by the masterpieces of leading calligraphers from European and Baltic countries, as well as from the USA, Israel, China, Japan, Syria, Mongolia, the UAE, Turkey, Australia, India, Taiwan, Palestine, Jordan, Brasilia, Peru, etc.; by the wide collection of rare writing utensils, applied calligraphy items, and historical manuscripts. He said that he was overwhelmed with joy to learn that such a rare type of art as calligraphy should at last become available for Russian citizens, especially for the young generation, since writing lays the foundations for building a beautiful and healthy society.
