This Saturday, October 29, 2016 the Museum welcomed the students from the Vertical school № 1748 for children with muscle-skeleton and cardiovascular disorders. There is a calligraphy club working at the school, headed by Gennady Suslov. Mr. Suslov is a huge fan of the Contemporary Museum of Calligraphy, and now he has brought his students for them to see the masterpieces of the art of fine writing from around the world.
During the museum tour which was organized within the Museum’s charity programme, the students learned about the secular and sacred calligraphy, with their tutor paid special attention to such exhibits as the Torah and Quran, and about various calligraphy instruments, for example: how to distinguish between broad nib and pointed pens.
The time flew by, and after the tour was over the students confessed they now felt inspired to go on practicing calligraphy. They even went as far as promising to prepare a handwritten letter of gratitude to the museum’s director Alexey Shaburov.
We are looking forward to seeing you all in our museum!
