Expression of the Beauty
Since the olden times, people learnt the art of calligraphic script that was not only a means of information transmission but also the expression of beauty.
As historians say, calligraphy art emerged in China and Japan earlier than in the West and reached the status of a type of fine art that is equal to painting and poetry.
Russia has also rich traditions in the development of original fonts. A number of masters wrote illustrious pages into the calligraphic art development.
With the beginning of the computer era, the emergence of an abundance of font programmes, technical manipulation with letters (change in bending, widening, narrowing), interest in calligraphy as a type of art decreased to some extent.
But at present, our contemporaries started to impartially understand that excessive desire for rationality in this field is prejudicial to manual and drawn font, to individual writing. Specialized television broadcasting or publications in mass media can play a major role in expansion of this type of art, yet graffiti is also a form of interest in drawing and font.
Hopefully, establishment of training centers with involvement of experienced masters/trainers for teaching of children with artistic potentiality and an urge for beautiful script and also arranging for exhibitions will enable, in the foreseeable future, to revive this ancient beautiful art, and it will become part of our spiritual and cultural life.
