Beauty of calligraphy
I started to write in the Arabic language spontaneously and I didn’t study the language. I had absolutely no idea about Arabic. It sounds like a miracle but one day a supernatural power made me take a brush and write from right to left. Only in writing I felt exaltation because I realized I was contacting some unexplored beauty.
Perhaps my music education helped me catch the rhythmic of Arabic ligature.
Spending hours on writing ornaments, orient patterns, combining colours I was dancing on the waves of Time thus penetrating into the depths of eternal knowledge.
I don’t know how I did it. I was just doing it – I could feel the rhythmic of a verse because it sounded in my soul. Living in this contemporary world we have no idea about the hidden powers and knowledge we have in ourselves. Even if we dip in an ancient culture we can reveal these powers.
When I write I feel time flowing through my eyes and hands, and I can see the birth of age-long wisdom. And I confess I have never heard a more beautiful sound than stringing of a written word.
