The exhibition housed in the State Museum of Literature, Art and Culture History, and named “Heart Out. Hand Out. Poems by Robert Rozhdestvensky. Calligraphy by Olga Alexeenko”, will open in Barnaul on June 21-22 as a part of Readings from Rozhdestvensky. Later it will move to a new exhibit hall in Robert Rozhdestvensky Memorial Museum in Kosikha village.
The State Museum is developing an extension of the Memorial Museum exhibition complex. Designers from Barnaul, Anastasia Kurasova and Svetlana Titova, authored the design project from the key regional museum of literature. According to the designers, one of the new halls in Rozhdestvensky Museum will feature an exhibition space named “The Image of the Word” to put on display original creative projects, with the abovementioned exhibition being the first of them.
“Calligraphy is able to impart certain expression and emotionality to a text, transforming the very process of reading poetry. This exhibition is a kind of collaboration between the renowned poet Robert Rozhdestvensky and calligrapher from Barnaul Olga Alexeenko, who took her own fashion to read, experience and render the poems of the renowned local poet on paper,” noted Elena Ogneva, Assistant Director of Academic Affairs in the State Museum of Literature, Art and Culture History.
