The Work on the first handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation has begun!
On June 17th, 2008, Alexey Shaburov, General Manager of the International Exhibition of Calligraphy signed a contract with Rare Books from St Petersburg publishing house. The two parties discussed the key issues of the coming work and pored over the sketches of the first page. Calligrapher Pyotr Chobitko who is getting ready to handwrite the constitution demonstrated several variants of fonts. The handwritten copy of the Constitution of the Russian Federation will be displayed in September at the International Exhibition of Calligraphy in St Petersburg.
