Krasnoyarsk Regional Research Library will host the Calligraphy for Everyone (16+) course. At the first introductory class, students will be presented with: the general idea of calligraphy, its main kinds, tools, and techniques. The students will also have a chance to use these tools themselves.
According to the organizers, the course is an introductory one and comprises general concepts, techniques, and tools of calligraphy through five types of writing: the ornamental ligature script, the modern antique script, the Italian cursive script, and the English cursive script.
The classes will be held every Saturday at 11 am in the library (114, Karla Marksa street). The first class is scheduled for September 12th and is free of charge. This means that the attendees can learn the details about the course and decide if they are interested in enrolling. All of the tools and materials will be given out at the class, which will last for about two hours.
