The International Exhibition of Calligraphy will receive another high-status mark
The International Exhibition of Calligraphy project continues to prove its high status. An expert report, addressed to Ye. Sdobnikov, Chairman of the Voluntary Certification Committee of the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs is the vivid testimony thereof. This report proves that the exhibition corresponds to the highest international standards. Moreover, it is the unique nature of the exhibition among other projects that is remarked in the document,
“…It is the only Russian exhibition devoted to the art of beautiful handwriting, which can be traced in all the world’s cultures and religions;
the collecting process and the design of the exhibits are effectuated in such a professional way that the exhibition itself is perceived as a piece of art and as an exemplary pattern of the exhibition business mastery;
the exhibition is of great cultural and educational importance, serving as a good example to illustrate the unity of human nature of any race and religion.
All things herein stated concerned, I think that the exhibition can by all means be certificated as international; it meets all necessary requirements to be awarded a Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs Mark.”
This report was submitted to the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs. In the beginning of December the Union will have a meeting, during which the final decision on a Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs Mark award will be made.
In order to receive a Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs Mark, an international exhibition must be held twice at least.
It is known that, in Veliky Novgorod, we have organized our exhibition for the third time
One of the necessary requirements is to possess an exhibition area of more than 1 000 sq.m.
The exhibition area in Veliky Novgorod was 2 000 sq.m.
The number of visitors must be 5 000 persons minimum.
We have exceeded the number many times over
The number of foreign participants must be 10% at least. At the III International Exhibition of Calligraphy there were
37 calligraphers from foreign states, which is more than 50% of all participants
It is the educational importance of the project that is specially noted in the expert report. We organized 46 master classes
And we made all we could to allow as many children as possible to visit the exhibition
…and the children were able to attend the master classes
One of the youngest visitors
The master class on postcards design was among favorite classes
The exhibition design was specially noted in the expert report
The choice of the exhibit items was chiefly distinguished…
…as well as the unique design of masterpieces
We hope that the judgment of Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs will be favorable.
The possession of Russian Union of Exhibitions mark not only proves the high status of the project,
but also helps its further promotion
