The International Exhibition of Calligraphy gives support to the Children’s Home № 23 of St.-Petersburg
On June 17, the Project Team met Alla Pogorelova, the director of the Children’s Home № 23 of the Petrogradsky district (St.-Petersburg). Mrs. Pogorelova has worked in this orphanage for over 18 years. She says they pay greater attention to the aesthetic and creative development of a child’s personality. Pupils and teachers were invited to participate in the calligraphic competition that will be held during the Fixed Event Period. The winners will be awarded valuable prizes. The Project Team offered to sponsor a course of calligraphy lessons, which will be held on the basis of the art study group of the orphanage. Besides, the project organizers will render assistance to the children’s home in all its needs.
